Business Wi-Fi Design & Troubleshooting Singapore

Business Wi-Fi design, deployment and troubleshooting from PTS. Site surveys, vendor-neutral installation and ongoing support across Singapore offices.

ISO 27001 · ISO 20000 certified Since 2001 Singapore · Hong Kong · Shanghai English · 中文 (Mandarin)

PTS designs, fixes and manages enterprise-grade Wi-Fi for offices and multi-site organisations in Singapore and APAC. We use proper wireless surveys and heat mapping to remove dead zones, improve roaming and keep performance stable under real load.

We work with the major business-grade vendors — Cisco Meraki, Aruba (HPE), Ruckus, Cisco Catalyst, and Ubiquiti — and pick the right platform for the building, not the brochure.

For day-to-day network and Wi-Fi cover, see our managed IT support; for the right hardware, see IT procurement.

Why is office Wi-Fi unreliable, and how do you fix it?

Most unreliable office Wi-Fi comes down to coverage gaps, interference, poor configuration or too many devices competing for airtime — not the internet connection. The fix is survey-led: measure signal, noise, channel overlap and roaming on-site, correct the configuration first, and only add or move access points where the survey proves it is needed.

In dense Singapore office towers, neighbouring networks and building materials make interference and channel overlap especially common — which is why guesswork fixes (“upgrade the internet”, “add another access point”) so often fail. Our process baselines the symptoms, surveys the floor, fixes configuration, then validates the result with a post-change survey and a documented standard you can hold us to.

What we do

We design and support business Wi-Fi that works properly under real load. That means the right access point placement, correct configuration, and a network that is secure and easy to manage.

Wi-Fi design for new offices

Survey-led design for reliable coverage, roaming, and capacity before you move in.

Fix poor performance

Resolve dropouts, dead zones, slow speeds, and unstable roaming with proper diagnosis.

Heat mapping and surveys

Wireless surveys to validate coverage, identify interference, and confirm the design on-site.

Guest Wi-Fi and segmentation

Separate guest traffic from corporate systems with clean access control and reporting.

Multi-site standardisation

Consistent Wi-Fi configuration across offices and campuses, with central management.

Managed Wi-Fi

Ongoing monitoring, patching, and support so Wi-Fi stops being a recurring business issue.

How we fix Wi-Fi performance issues

“Upgrade the internet” is rarely the answer. Most Wi-Fi problems come from coverage, interference, poor configuration, or too many devices competing for airtime. We diagnose the root cause and fix it properly.

1. Baseline and symptoms

Confirm what users see, where it happens, and when. We map the problem to rooms, floors, or device types.

2. Wireless survey

Measure signal strength, noise, channel overlap, roaming behaviour, and airtime utilisation.

3. Identify constraints

Building materials, neighbouring networks, AP placement, client device behaviour, and upstream switching.

4. Fix configuration

Channel plans, transmit power, band steering, minimum data rates, roaming tuning, and SSID strategy.

5. Add or move access points

Only when needed. We place APs for capacity and coverage, not guesswork.

6. Validate and document

Post-change survey results, user validation, and a clear handover with the new standard.

Managed Wi-Fi

If Wi-Fi is business-critical, it should be managed like any other core system. We monitor performance, keep firmware current, and resolve issues before they become recurring outages.

Monitoring and alerting

Uptime, client experience, AP health, capacity pressure, and unusual behaviour.

Configuration standards

Consistent SSID strategy, segmentation, access control, and change control across sites.

Firmware and security updates

Planned patching and vulnerability response without breaking production Wi-Fi.

Performance reporting

Clear reporting on client experience, stability, and the top drivers of tickets.

User support and escalation

Helpdesk support for user issues, with engineers available when it is a real network fault.

Multi-site management

Centralised control for organisations with multiple offices, campuses, or sites.

Business Wi-Fi FAQs

How long does a wireless site survey take?

A wireless survey visit typically covers a single floor or building in a half-day to full-day session, depending on size and complexity. We measure signal strength, noise, channel overlap, roaming behaviour, and airtime utilisation on-site. Results and a written report are provided after the visit.

Can you fix our Wi-Fi without replacing the hardware?

In many cases, yes. Most Wi-Fi problems come from coverage, interference, or poor configuration rather than the hardware itself. Our process starts with a proper diagnosis — baseline, wireless survey, and root-cause analysis — before recommending any hardware changes. We only add or move access points when the survey shows it is genuinely needed.

Which Wi-Fi vendors do you support?

We work with the major business-grade vendors: Cisco Meraki, Aruba (HPE), Ruckus, Cisco Catalyst, and Ubiquiti. We are vendor-neutral and pick the platform that suits the building and your organisation, not the brochure.

Do you support guest Wi-Fi and network segmentation?

Yes. We design and configure guest Wi-Fi that is separated from corporate systems, with clean access control and reporting. Segmentation — keeping guest, corporate, and IoT traffic on separate networks — is part of our standard Wi-Fi design work.

How much does business Wi-Fi cost in Singapore?

There’s no standard price, because cost depends on floor area, the number of access points and sites, the vendor platform, and whether the work is a one-off fix, a new-office design, or ongoing managed Wi-Fi. We don’t publish a rate card — instead a survey-led scoping confirms what the building actually needs, and we return a fixed figure in writing, usually within two business days. Because we are vendor-neutral, the recommendation follows the building, not a brochure.

Can you standardise Wi-Fi across our Singapore, Hong Kong and China offices?

Yes. Multi-site standardisation is a core part of what we do: consistent SSID strategy, segmentation, access control, and change control across offices and campuses, with central management. Our group operates across Singapore, Hong Kong, and China, so we can manage regional deployments directly.
